Sens Draft Review
October 05, 2018
Alexander Khovanov C 3rd round

Alexander Khovanov looked like a potential first-rounder for the NHL, then injuries happened hurting his development. Perhaps the biggest wildcard in the 2018 NHL draft, has undeniable talent but also comes with a lot of uncertainty.

Ottawa Senators Jordan Harris D, 4th Round

Captain of his team in New Hampshire and was named to the USHS All-USA Hockey First Team. Harris was ranked No. 44 among North American skaters by NHL Central Scouting and a truly elite skater with an offensive flair. Ottawa Senators Matej Pekar C, 5th Round

Pekar, 18, was named USHL Rookie of the Year last season after scoring 54 points in 56 games and was a key player for the Czech Republic at both the U18 World Juniors. Already has registered 9 points in the first 5 games for the Barrie Colts this season. Ottawa Senators Alexis Gravel G, 5th Round

Gravel has the potential to be a top goaltender in the NHL, his style is similar to Marc-Andre Fleury. This past season, he added to his resume as part of Team Canada at the Hlinka Memorial tournament – helping his team to a gold medal as the team’s backup.

Overall GM Lucas was happy to draft these prospects given the fact we had to sell off some of our earlier picks.
